Prayers and Aloha to ʻOhana Aiau – Mahalo Mahalo Mahalo for this live stream. It was a blessing to watch each heartfelt moment – so much LOVE. Me Ke Aloha Menemene
You will be missed my friend…enjoyed listening to you sing and watching you dance. Such a kind soul…….you will be missed. Fly among the angles now and rest in peace. Aloha!
My cousin Aiau, I am lost of words because I failed to fulfill our dream of playing music together for at least one time. I’ve waited too long and now my heart is so, so sad for not fulfilling my dream. For this I will do a song for you and I hope and pray it will reach you in the Paradise Heaven’s where you are with all the rest of our ohana. I still remember our growing up days with you, your brother and sister’s in Pearl City where you folks used to live on Oahu when we were young and that smile on you at age 6 was implanted in my mind that never seem to have gone away. I was 12-yrs old then, being your older cousin whom you would cling on to where ever I went and your Mom ( aunty Lani) would always have to say: Aiau, leave (Dudi-boy) alone LoL.For some reason that smile you wore when you was young stay with you into your adulthood and in 2010 when I last saw you while visiting a friend on Maui you still had that same smile that was implanted in my mind since childhood days. To me, when you look up the meaning of Friendly, Humble and Kind, its your face that reside among those words. You always had that smile of Greetings when people looked at you, so yes you was blessed cousin Aiau. I thank God and I send my mahalo to all the Ohana for making this Celebration of Life possible on line for those who couldn’t make it in person. It was so touching to see all of our ohana and friends and people that you touched through out your life time here on earth pay their respect and tribute to you Aiau. I will forever remember you cousin Aiau. Aloha oe e ke akua e ho’omaika’i ia oe o’kou ke ohana.
To the Koa ohana blessing to you with much aloha & respect. Aiau as definatly changed my life with that 1 apu of ʻAwa. A hui hou malama pono my braddah. Aloha a nui iā ʻoukou ka ohana Koa. Mai ka Ohana Au Hoon mai Duke, Rachael, Honi Honi & Kalalau.
What a BLESSING Aiau was to soooo many! And what a blessing to share the live stream of the tribute to the life he led and the impact he made in soooo many people’s lives. While I may have only “known” him thru my brother, Lance Winston, it was over 20 years of knowing Aiau thru the rehearsals, Kukahi’s, random stop by say aloha moments and me to be engulfed in his infamous tatt hugs of welcome back to Maui! For that, I say MAHALO NUI for allowing me to witness the love, mele and hula in honor of such an amazing person to the world. Rest in Love Aiau. REST…
We will forever remember Aiau’s wonderful, loving and gentle Soul… May he Rest In Peace and live within the memories of his loved ones… Massive Love/Aloha… SGM DeChi,Emperado Ohana and KSDI Worldwide…

Aloha Koa Ohana,
It is with much Aloha and Respect that I wish to offer my condolences to the Koa Ohana. Although my times spent in the presence of Henry were few and brief, he was one of those people you take an immediate liking to. He had presence and lots of aloha. After meeting him for the first time, I always looked forward to seeing him again. It saddens me to know that it will be awhile before I will get to meet with him again. May he rest in your love.
Respectfully,
Jeff Hood

Voyage well my Brother…
I met uncle Aiau, once! But we messaged each other on facebook many years ago. I’m George Koa Jr. oldest daughter, Shantelle. My heart aches, because he loved people & people loved Aiau. I’m praying for our Koa Ohana during this difficult time. ❤️
Aloha Lilyana, Oralani, Ole and all the Koa ‘Ohana/Hoaloha. It is not often in our lives, we meet someone who is pure, lives aloha and gives aloha and leaves aloha whereever he is or has been. It is harder still to meet someone who changes a room, a meeting, a moment, a mele with a simple quiet strum . . . this AIAU. I will forever hear his entrance and exit words to family and friends . . “How you sista.. no really- how you doing?” “thank you eh, it was great seeing you- keep singing…you take care okay, love you”…. He meant it every time he said it. He was simply & purely one of kind, you needed to only say his name AIAU and everyone knew who you were talking about!! Loving, protecting & supporting his family, friends, culture- were a part of his every breath and he did so without want of recognition or return. He lived this way, HIS way always doing everything…. from the heart, the na’au & with respect for all people.
I remember the moment I met Lily and Aiau, we were performing in Wailea, I was the luau MC and they were the musician and dancer w/ babies in tow; we took turns watching(in dressing room) Oralani in a beautiful weaved basket.. just a baby. She would grow up to be not only one of my son’s (Buddy Nobriga) dear friends, but live with us in Las Vegas while attending UNLV, and help me with Kaleileihua and La’akea O Nakoa as well. Even Ole stopped by to spend time. We are blessed to have the KOA Ohana in our lives- they’re strength, humility & aloha is unrivalled! Aiau set the standard as a man, for family and all who knew him – to live life well, to do good, give back, be humble and strong, and never ever be less than your BEST in everything you choose to do. With grateful hearts ,we send love, lite & forever aloha to all….Aloha Ke Akua from . . .Aunty Leihuanani, Buddy Nobriga & ‘Ohana, Kaleileihua, La’akea O Nakoa and Kamie Lei. “E OLA KOA KAKOU”
I was and feel truly blessed to have Uncle Aiau who was a teddy bear cheer me on in hula and watched me grow up in hula along with his daughter Oralani and Lilyana and Trace though the years Uncle Aiau became an inspiration in my life and a big fan of me going to college.
I am so blessed and thankful to have your musical and hula legacy to carry with me and share just as you have taught me
Mahalo Uncle Aiau for entrusting me with such a meaningful and cherished legacy to share with others it means more than you will ever know
I know you are watching me from heaven and ALWAYS will be
I love you Uncle Aiau
Always and Forever
Fly with the Angels Uncle Aiau 🙏✝️
Sleep in heavenly peace
Aloha all……
Aiau and I had developed a great friendship over the past 2 years, where we would FaceTime each other every week. When I received this horrible info, I was and am still in shock and disbelief. I absolutely loved Aiau, and his boys, Trace, Kailani and all of his inner circle. God bless this simply wonderful man…. I will miss you bruddahh….more than you ever will know.
Mahalo
It was a Great Honor, to know this Man, He was humble, never judged people, always respectful. Always caring and sharing especially the Beauty of his Musical talent and many more talents that he had. And he could also be a Happy go Lucky funny guy🙂. Everytime he saw me he would always say she’s one of my Hula sisters (Ainahou). So down to earth, I will definitely miss hearing that guitar strumming all kind any kine , rather it was slack key Hawaiian, Jawaiian, Rock-n- roll, or Reggae. This Bruddah would just Jam whatever his heart desires. I pray Our Heavenly Father will Bless his family and give them guidance and strength through this time of loss. And may our Brother Aiau, Fly with Angel’s, and Jam with Angels in the presence of our Lord, Me ke Aloha Pumehana to the Koa Ohana 🙏🏼❣️🙏🏼🌈🙏🏼💝😘
Aloha Ora

* Can I share some pictures of Aiau?
If possible, how could I do that?
Aiau will be terrible missed by me and all those who knew and loved him. He was one in a million! There was no one so kind, respectful, loving and humble like Aiau. Aiau was a wonderful person and I loved him like a son. I am blessed to have known him….him and da boyz! I remember they all stayed overnight at my house. They all slept on my living room floor. They didn’t want to sleep on the couch because they said they didn’t want to break it. Lol! So funny!
The first place Aiau wanted to go to was In n Out Burger because there wasn’t any in Hawaii. When he had the burger in his hand the burger looked so tiny in his hand! Lol! It looked like a McDonald’s sausage biscuit!
When Aiau hugged me I could feel his massive strength, yet he was a gentle giant. I will miss him and will always keep him in my heart.
He was loving
Aiau always encouraged me to be 100% in anything I wanted to do. He was my biggest supporter in everything I wanted to learn. I will forever cherish the moments I had with him and his life lessons that he shared with me so that I could be a better person. He was the love of my life and I miss him so much. ❤️
Trace,
Aiau loved and cherished you like no other…. I saw it in his eyes and I know it was completely mutual. You are a extremely lucky young lady to have known him like that and now, you are the torch bearer of his legacy (of course with his kids and family) to tell people all about the man, the police officer, the musician, the Kajukenbo practitioner and so on…… You know I love you, his Boyz, his family with all of my heart. MAHALO, Bobby
Aloha and condolences Trace. Tommy and Stacie
